Anyone know what model this trap is? Cover shows Illinois engineering co.  , no model # or other info on body and internal removed at some point. Hoping to find replacement inserts rather than replacing all the traps

    It's the Illinois 1T

which is called an Outboard trap. Marsh and Sterling also made outboard traps. I'm assuming it has the usual 1/2" pipe connections.

Tunstall and Barnes & Jones both make kits for these, but you will probably have to get a new cap as well as the capsule or cage unit for each trap. Still, it's a lot less trouble to rebuild rather than completely replace these traps.

    bigger than 1T?

Life would be so much easier if they just put model #s on them.  Picked up replacement cover for a 1T and the cover diameter is too small.  Posted pictures of the difference. I see Illinois also lists an outboard 1/2" trap as a 2T. Is it possible it is the same trap with bigger diameter cover. Reached out to B and J but haven't heard back

That's a new one on me

measure the diameter of your original cap so they can cross-reference it.
