Steam leaking from main vent valve

My problem is that after a very long heat-up time and radiators are hot and at temperature, the pressure continues to build to 2psi. The burner turns off but steam leaks from 2 Hoffman 75s but not the Gorton #1 on one of my main lines. The other main line with a Gorton #2 is O.K. Does this mean the 2 Hoffmans are faulty?

Probably
Sometimes a soak in white vinegar will clean the mineral deposits out of the valve, but you'll need something to stick in the main in the meanwhile.Just another DIYer | King of Prussia, PA
