in Gas Heating
A while back I posted about my deteriorating smoke pipe.I was trying to figure out how my gas conversion could have been causing this problem. As it turns out, 2 winters ago, the oil company I had my service contract with, replaced my aquastat. I didn't check the setting until this morning, and it seems he set the hi-limit to 170 and the lo-limit to 130 with a 10 deg differential. So, in this old gravity conversion, I was circulating water down to 120 degrees for a good long time.Ughhh.....Mo' Money..Mo' Money...Mo' Money

Bypass
Sounds like you don’t have a boiler bypass…That goes back to original installer…if not installed…If the boiler is older it would be a waste of time to install one now….Damaged done….Boiler and venting system0 -
No Bypass
Although not the best, the triple aquastat(set correctly) worked well for this system.0
