is there a pump blank fitting?

I want to see if I can get a short loop to thermosiphon for circulation. Is there a blank up pipe with two flanges made to the length of a circulator.  I guess I can come pretty close with a nipple and a couple flanges but had never thought about whether there was such a fitting.

thanks,

brian

I was just thinking of this...

I was just thinking of this today, like they have for a gas meter. Then after a new install, you can flush the entire system, close the iso valves, put the new circs in, bleed system of air and go.

How bout an old circ, remove the impeller?

    just cut a nipple or

use sweat flanges and cut a piece of copper to sweat between the flanges.

Here are some old ones I built with threaded flanges. If you use locktite you can stop where you need to line them up, no need to tighten against the taper.

Sweat flanges would be easier yet.

    thanks guys

feels good to know i'm not the only one who thinks about this stuff.  And thanks, hot rod, for the locktite tip.  That makes it easier to get them to the right spread and orientation.
