Short burn times

For years I had a Weil-McLain oil fired hot water baseboard heating system with the oil tank in the basement and a single-line running from the tank to the burner. The thermostat was a mechanical Honeywell type. Often the burner would fire, run a few seconds, and shut down. I recently had the furnace replaced with a Burnham and installed a digital thermostat. The same thing happens--the burner fires smoothly, runs a few seconds, and shuts down. Not often, and not consecutively--these episodes are widely spaced. No big deal, but I would like to know what is going on. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

    Mine does it too

Not often and not consecutively either .

I never check but I can guess it's the boiler firing just before a call for heat or hot water is satisfied and it shuts the boiler down . Sometimes the run time is 5 seconds .

What kind of aquastat and how are the zones controlled ?

    Short burn time

It is a single-zone system, no domestic hot water from the furnace, and the thermostat is in a short hallway connecting the bath, one bedroom, and the dining room.
