in Strictly Steam
in sizing a replacement steam boiler two story residence would you include the wall hung basement radiators as part of the load .if so using actual btu ratings or reduce being they are below steam main & in basement below grade. thanks, bob nyc

    As I understand it...

    If they turn steam into condensate they are part of the load. If they just radiate residual heat from warm condensate they are part of the pickup factor.
