                    My heat won't turn on...neither will my gas log. Tried lighting gas log pilot... wouldn't hold flame. My Dad tried furnace pilot...couldn't figure out how it lit. So... I have no heat. I DO however have hot water, clothes dryer and stove that all work. What is going on? The heat is gas "hot water baseboard"...I'm told.

            could be something.....
 as simple as a valve that got turned off...or it could be simultaneous thermocouple failures. Sounds like you need to call in a pro to look it over.0
