Which Head would you use? F0 Or F3

Beckett AFG with pump @ 140psi, .65 nozzle. Gives approximately .77 gph firing rate. This puts it slightly higher than the F0 head rating (max .75gph). However, Beckett recommends using head that is closest to max firing. I'm slightly over but getting decent efficiency. Would it make sense to go to the F3 head? Will I gain anything?

    make and model unit is the burner installed in? What are your combustion test results?

    It's a Dunkirk Ultimate PF (direct vent) Series, 3 section. I am currently getting 82% efficiency.

    How about

    I'll have to fire it up and take a new set of readings. Last time was Feb last year and I can't remember specifics. Won't be able to do until tomorrow. I'll post after I take them. It is only for heat so is shut down all summer. Thanks Steamhead!

    In my experience

    The F3 is much more forgiving than the F0,but they are cheap enough,I'd give it a try! Your ears and the analyzer will tell the tale!

    Take CO readings.

    Be sure to watch your CO readings throughout the run cycle and keep watching them as the burner shuts off. If CO is stable throughout the run cycle and does not go above 100 ppm when the burner shuts off, then the F0 will be fine.

    F0 head

    Actually, I have decided to downfire slightly and this will  require the F0 head along with the low fire baffle. Let's hope I don't have any problems with nozzle plugging. I have a rayon filter at the tank and spin on 10 mic. Westwood,  w/ Tigerloop. Fuel oil is good quality stuff so I "should" be alright!
