Here is a link to inexpensive CO detectors that some general aviation pilots use. They hook onto a key chain. (On ssingle engine aircraft, the engine is just outside the cabin, in front of the pilot. On twin engine aircraft, they have a gasoline heater.

debris and dust
A cockpit is a clean environment, while a job site or boiler room may have airborne dust and debris. The units meant to be carried on a belt have filters on the openings. Just food for thought. As a backup, this product is an option.:NYplumber:0
