vent sample port

in THE MAIN WALL
I just got done yesterday cutting the basement wall and gluing the CPVC together for the air intake and vent for my new boiler.

I realized, in retrospect, that I didn't install a port on the vent piping to sample exhause gases.  Is this a big deal?  Can they be sampled from outside?  Alternately, is there a specific fitting for 2" CPVC (sch 80, the dark gray stuff) that I could retrofit in with a union fitting that would allow indoor sampling?

    Hole and Plug

    If you are needing a hole for a combustion analyzer probe, I just drill and tap threads in the proper location for sampling and then just use a SS bolt or plug.  This may be more of an issue after the fact since you now have the chance of getting debris in the closed system.  Mike

    That sounds good - it's all glued together - don't want to get plastic shards in the vent, if I can avoid it.

     - or maybe I'll wait for the professional that I plan to bring in to finish the gas hook-up and initiate the system.
