Help identifying this radiator

I found this radiator while performing a heat load and radiator survey. It looks vaguely familiar but I can't identify it from any of my books. Anyone recognize the logo on the plug?

    That's a "Corto"

made by American Radiator Co. You should find the name around the bottom pipe tapping.

Cortos were made in two patterns. The original had a section spacing of 2 inches, and had non-standard EDR ratings. Later models used the standard 2-1/2" spacing, and are similar to other large-tube rads.

    Corto EDR

Thanks Frank. The lettering at the bottom tapping is obscured by multiple layers of paint but I believe you're right (as usual). The sections are 2" c-c. Any idea how to calculate the EDR for these? I have a house full of them. This particular one is 23" high, 5 tube, 18 section. Do I dare extrapolate from the 2-1/2" tables?

    Here you go

I thought I'd sent this to Dan, but it isn't in the Library. It comes from the 1925 "Ideal Fitter". Dan, feel free to include it.

    Thanks, Steamhead

Could you send me that as a pdf when you have the time. I'll add it to the Library.
