help with leaky #67 MM compression tee

Hi.

Installed a new #67 It wasn't leaking and all was fine- then whole LWCO 67 got moved and started to leak from compression fitting into tee. removed redid a bunch of times. it still leaks. A tradesman told me in my local plumbing supply to turn the tee up and use regular 3/8 rough brass for a toilet or sink and create an upside down J. He said he has had this leak many times. is there anything wrong with this? heard to get a new L shaped 3/8 pipe on order is over 40 bucks!

Thanks

Joe

    Make it work.

Find pipe and fittings that are the same size (either 3/8 or 1/2"). That line is just an equalizer.

    I've used

3/8 flare fittings and oil line to make the connection . In an absolute pinch we've soldered the compression fitting .

yes a standard tee with a male by compression

adapter, or as Ron said, a flare fitting (which is better) with standard tubing will work just fine..as Jstar said, it only has to equalize the pressure.
