Burnham V-14A-T water plate replacement. Amtrol tank.

I have a Burnham V-14a-t boiler. The water tank plate is rusting and has begun to leak. I ordered a new plate and gasket and I just opened the box and found that the plate only has a tap hole for the thermostat. My plate has in inlet and an outlet. Also states Amtrol on the plate. Is this the wrong plate, or do I need to drill and tap it for the inlet and outlet? if it is wrong, should I be looking for a plate from Amtrol? I think possibly this plate is part of the coil and does not seperate. Could anyone chime in if this is the case. Any idea what this may cost then??

You needed to order the coil assembly
since the plate and coil are one piece. The V-1 series was available with or without the coil, that's why a separate plate showed up in the parts breakdown.
But why not take this as an opportunity? Use the plate you ordered, have an indirect tank installed, and set up the boiler so it doesn't maintain temperature all the time. This won't be cheap, but will give you much more hot water at less cost. Then, when it's time to replace the boiler, you can continue to use the indirect with it.All Steamed Up, Inc.

do you?
Do you have an amtrol for your HW? If so you do not need to have the coil in the boiler anymore so you only need the plate and opening for the aquastat..0
