Converting oil burner to propane

in THE MAIN WALL
I have a Buderus Logano G115 oil fired boiler that is two years old. Can it be converted to burn propane? What are the pros and cons? With the price of oil on a never ending upward trend is this a good idea or am I way off base?

    you can....

    but LP is prob. not a good option.... couple reasons. If you install a conversion burner you gen speaking lose 2% afue.... LP gas per gallon is abut 91,000 btu / gallon.... #2 Oil is 139,000 btu / gallon. figure out what your price per gallon of each is and you most likely will see that oil is a better price. NOW if it is Nat. gas that may well be a diff. story....

    Thanks for the info, nat. gas isn't an option in my area.

    If you don't already have it, I would invest in the Logamatic for the g115.  It will optimize the efficiency of the unit by utilizing outdoor reset.
