by what means is it overfilling?
has it been properly skimmed/flushed etc. if the water is priming due to contaminants and it is activating the LWCO/auto-feed prematurely/unnecessariliy that would cause an overfill.
what type of LWCO installed?
what type of auto-feed?
pictures would be helpful.1-pipe Homeowner - Queens, NYC

the wet returns
could well be blocked. if the water can;t get back to the boiler fast enough then the auto feeder will feed (presuming you have one). when the water does get back the boiler will be flooded0 -
yeah those are really ...
your only two options ...
in-boiler water level violent and dropping due to contaminants ..
or slow returns ..
both *may* be solved by adjusting the timing between when LW is sensed and auto-feed is activated ..
but in the case of contaminants, a thoroughly cleaning and skimming is really the PROPER means of a correction ..
slow returns may just require that the boiler start a bit overfilled to allow a buffer to catch up .. however, be wary of stacked A Dimension so that you don't stack into your mains due to slow returns
even a leak wouldn't show as an overfill.
curious .. why was the new boiler installed? something happen to the old one?1-pipe Homeowner - Queens, NYC
