What is the minimum distance in Massachusetts that we can put a boiler next to an oil tank?

Thanks, Bob Gagnon

    is it.....

    Is this a residential application?

Not sure about Mass.,but in NJ a residential tank has to be at least 5' ft away from any fire or flame either within or external to any fuel-burning appliance (06 IRC M2201.2.1). If Mass. is using the International Codes you may want to refer to the IFC (International Fire Code) Chapter 6 and 34.

    Thanks Bill

I am glad I am not 21 anymore, was it 10 feet years ago or was my chain being yanked back then?

    distance

As long as I can remember Charlie, it was always 5 feet away. I have gotten a lot closer by building a fire wall.
