Timber Framed Home

We just got brought onto a project that is pretty far along on the building process. It is a Timber Framed Barn that has been converted into a residence. All the interior framing is completed but the previous builder didn't let any of the other trades in. The house has no conditioning or electric yet?????

I wanted to know if any of you guys have experience with Timber Framed structures and what types of systems have you used? It is such an eye pleasing structure that we don't want to hack it up with ugly duct-work or copper baseboard. We are entertaining the idea of radiant but cost and the available floor space is a factor....

Thanks,

Jamie

    Timber Frame

Air volume is always a problem in a timber frame. I am currently doing one in central Ontario. We are doing that one as a combi system, radiant and forced air. If you want to avoid duct-work, then look at panel rads and clip-up radiant. You do not want to start anything without a thorough heat loss.

    Good Luck
If you don't have time to do it right, what makes you think you have time to do it over?
