I have a smith 19-7 with a carlin 702 crd that I do not use in the summer. What is the best thing to do with the water in the boiler

Drain it

Fill the boiler up to the pop saftey and shut the burner off

or

fill up and keep the burner on and the aquastate at lowest setting?

Why do you have an aquastat if you do not use the boiler?

does it provide hot water?

I used to use it to make hot water but the tenants supply their own hot water now.

Then remove the aquastat.

as far as flooding or not that is your choice. some people say yes I am always concerned that it is forgotten and the boiler is run in a flooded state.

Should I fill the boiler up to prevent oxidation or drain the boiler

Should the boiler be turned off untill I need it for steam or keep it running at a low temp setting to keep the boiler and burner lubricated
