we just installed a new boiler at a customer home the boiler will heat the existing home and a 1200 ft addition (knb150). The pressure relief valve continues to pop. the customer said that he had problems w/ this in the past (burnham series 2) . I've already increased the size of the expansion tank and replaced the water feed, what else could it be?

it's piped in 1/2 copper between the expansion tank and the return and tied it the air seperator.0 -
popping safety
Does the bioler have a coil or a storage tank off the coil?? Pinhole in the piping?
Did you reuse any equipment or is it all new?0 -
yep
Yep there is a TT smart 40, we replace all the old EQ but the base boards and distribution piping are the old stuff0 -
Pressure Build Up
If the pressure builds up on temperture rise.. You don't have enough expantion tank . If pressure rises with circulator running .. It's the location of feed valve. If pressure builds up with a constant drip. Water is bypassing into the heating system .There was an error rendering this rich post.
