Horsepower per Ton Question

in THE MAIN WALL
The horsepower per ton of a unit is .60. If the horsepower increases by 20% while the refrigeration effect decreases by 10%, what would the horsepower per ton be?

    Maybe

    I'm not a math whiz. I get .792 H.P. per Ton (12000 btuh). I would not

    trust this number with out corroboration.

    You are correct Bob

    12,000 BTU/hr   =  2000 BTU/HR =  7.85 HP/TON x .10 = .785 or .8

    .60 HP/TON        2,545 BTU/HR/HP



    1TON = 12,000 BTU/HR

    1 HP = 2,545 BTU/HR



    This is how I figured it out but I wanted to see if someone else would get a similar answer. Thanks!
