Glycol disposal

Hey,

What is everybody doing with their spent glycol?

Down the Drain

Hazardous waste (I know it's food grade)

????

    small amounts

    you can take it to most any of the Jiffy Lube type places. They blend it in with the automotive stuff that they flush. It gets recycled and it is ok to mix the PG and EG. Actually some of the automotive antifreeze is now PG.



    50 gallon drums and larger can go to recyclers like Safety Kleen, they do charge for the pick up, of course.



    Some city and town recycling centers accept used glycol, check the local govt websites.



    Even the non-toxic PG stuff should be recycled , why not? I tossed about 1/2 gallon of used solar PG on my lawn and a patch of grass went brown. Guess it is not "non toxic" to lawns :)
