hydrostatic radiator valves inline vice at radiator

I would like to install 6 inline hydrostatic valves in the basement of an 80+ year old home on the return side of the radiator so that I can control the second story rooms without rezoning the system. Are such devices available for use with one inch black pipe?

    Why not

    use standard TRVs on the radiators? These are installed on the supply side. Like this:
