we are haveing a very bad smell in an hot water sun red radiato

You may have a leak, and you are smelling the water evaporating. Also, the water in your area may have a high sulfur content or iron content. Check kitchen radiators for food residue like grease or "frying spatter" . Your system may also be venting air at times, and you possibly are smelling that, especially in the basement or boiler room.

    bad smell

    we are getting a bad smell from an hot water sun red heating system going on like this for 5 years
  • When does the smell occur?

    Does it smell all the time? Did you paint the radiators recently? Did the system have antifreeze in it? Did the kids drop something behind a radiator? Can you describe the smell? A bit more info would be helpful. Thanks.

    The Radiators where painted 5 years ago, It smells once the heat is on for 2 Hours, its in many rooms, I didn't see any thing behind the radiators, the smell feels like behind a steam room

    Thanks but the smell is in all rooms, there are no leaks Boiler not loosing water, and its a large building no other apt. Has complaints.
