    Depends on where you live

Around here in Boston, Homans Associates is one good company. Industry-wide, Knauf, Owens-Corning, Johns-Manville are among other good names.

Technically what you want is mulded fiberglass pipe insulation with All-Service Jacket (ASJ).

"Wrap" is a soft blanket type covering or a sandwich.

There are energy code dictates based on service temperature. Steam tends to be minimum 1.5" thick for 1.5" pipe size and 2" thick for pipe sizes 2" and up to 4" pipe size as a standard.

Not to say that it is OK to cheat, but do not use less than one inch anywhere. Go to code if at all possible but the cost does take a jump.

Metro Supply Company has locations in New Jersey and NYC. I had a good experience with them. They also ship UPS.

These guys make a lot of removable fiberglass pipe insulation - http://www.ThermaxxJackets.com

Other names that come up for bigger jobs for pipe insulation blankets are Advanced Thermal, Coverflex, and Firwin.
