ever heard of a solvent that liquifies set fines in a trap?

Sizzle was sulfuric acid based, no? You'd probably want a hydrochloric (muriatic) acid based solution.

    flat workers take drain cover and tape off gagrage drain,....

    send the slurry on a rainy day down the trap,...it cannot be that this has not ever happened...however it is the first that i have ever heard of a product that does that ...anyone know what this solvent /solution is called?

    Here's what I did

    Scenario: Concrete goes into 3" floor drain during pour. GC, Sub is frantic...here's where Mikey comes to the rescue. I used Chloroben DE (don't know if it is still made, or where you can get it) , used several gallons of it over 3-4 days. It dissolved all the concrete. This is a hard-core descaler, 95 % hydrochloric acid..we used it for years on old sidearm heaters to dissolve calcium deposits. Let me know if you are able to find it...mfm

    Hercules makes a product called Sizzle. I think it's the same as Chloroben.

    It's supposed to be for this purpose.
