A young Marine named Jordan Hearter will be layed to rest this morning at the Oakland Cemetary in Sag Harbor, New York. This small town has not had a line of duty death since WWII. I have not personally had to participate in the services for a fallen brother since 1984. I have been teary eyed for three days now and today is going to be a rough one. We owe these young people and thier families a huge debt of gratitude. At 1100 hours east coast time today, Jordan Hearter will be layed to rest. If you are so inclined please offer a prayer for Jordan, his family and for all of the people that endevour to keep us free and safe.

I Forgot to mention

Another significant part of this story is that Jordan is responcible for stopping a truck that was loaded with explosives as it attempted to run through a check point. He shot and killed the driver at which point someone else in the truck detonated it killing Jordan and another Marine and injuring several others. If he had not taken action many more may have been killed.
