Mark, we also use the MAX Tie tool hear in Ohio. Recently put down 5000' in just under 3 hours with a two man crew. Yes the tool is pricy, but it soon pays for itself. I also buy 3 batteries for each tie tool and two chargers. Our tools use the 21 ga. wire. There are two different size tools available, but the smaller one (RB395) works best for us.

    How's your tubing tying machine doing?

    That is one AMAZING machine. Got any tips for a newbie user?

    My lead tubester said it almost made installing his last snowmelt system FUN... sicko.

    I'm thinking it takes the place of 3 men when properly used.

    Max Tie tool

    Mark,

    We have two of the tie tools and I'm getting ready to buy a third. Does that tell you how much we like them? They are expensive, but not nearly as expensive as man-hours spent hand tying tube.

    They have gotten a good workout lately: we just finished a 9,000 sq. ft. snowmelt slab and we have two multi-floor radiant projects with steel decking and re-bar in the works. I'll be sure to snap some photos of the tubing going in.
