Got a quote on Ward malleable iron fittings. Box lots only, but that's how I buy anyway.
I was almost speechless (difficult to do), the 1/2" black 90's are .02 each LESS than MatcoCrap. Since I live/work so far from any good supply house, I'm used to buying box lots of fittings already.
No more doglegs to make a plumb drop :)

Maybe shipping costs are finally catching up
The higher fuel costs go, the more the costs of imports is going to go up. That said, there are some imports from Korea that are quite high quality and eventually the Chinese will catch up.
