HePex pipe, it has an Oxygen barrier. If you use ProPex pipe you will have to use non-ferrous materials in your system.

propex for radient in slab
I believe Wiersbo told me their propex pipe can be used for radient heat in a slab. I know they make one special but I cant get that on short notice. any one know of a problem other than uv which is not a concern in a basement slab. RK0 -
Pex
Any oxygen barrier pex tube will work fine in a slab. I would not recommend using non-barrier tube.0 -
Propex
I believe "Propex" is the name of their fittings for their "Aquapex" piping "Hepex" is their barrier piping for heating along with "Compicor". I try to avoid fittings underground yet that does not mean it cannot be done.
Call Uponor at 800.321.4739 and ask for technical support. Would not want to guess on this one!0
