    heating an cooling a small space

    here is the gist: I am doing a nice master bedroom suite in my attic. A HVAC guy did a study for me and told me that 12,000 btu heating and 8,000 btu cooling is what I want. I don't want baseboard heating or an rv heater in what will be a nice suite. Suggestions would be appreciated.

    here are the numbers: (one large room with cathedral ceiling 16'x17', a 7' wide turret room and bath 17'x6').

    I agree with Jim

    The newer "ductless" split systems have inverter drives, are very efficient and quiet...

    "Ductless" is a misnomer because some in fact can be ducted and thus concealed if the aesthetics require it.

    forget the imitations

    find a Daikin dealer. the invented the ductless and perfected it. all others are imitations. plus there global failure rate is less than one tenth of one percent!
