    If you have time, check out the USS Olympia, a Spanish-American War armored cruiser that was Admiral Dewey's flagship at the Battle of Manila Bay. Don't miss the boiler room, engine room and the refrigeration plant. She's tied up at Penn's Landing. Across the river,in Camden, NJ, there's the USS New Jersey, a modern Iowa-class battleship that served in WWII, Korea, Vietnam & the Middle East.

    And, of course the Franklin Institute is always cool. If I could, I would love to show you the 100 year old steam boiler at a building at 7th and Chestnut. It is a huge coal fired locomotive boiler, although abandoned. Ahh, the industrial revolution. The building is restricted access.
