I always have been told that 18" was the standard spacing for monoflow, but have seen and done with a lot less.....IF you have the space, use 18"

    baseboard of monoflow system

    I would like to add a strip of baseboard (6ft.) to an existing monoflow system. The baseboard is just to take the chill of a mudroom. I am running the baseboard with the return over the top so in the basement, where it will connect, the supply and return are right next to each other. To tie into the monoflow system is ther a rule of thumb on the spacing of the 2 tees (1 regular tee and one monoflow tee on the return). Or would it work better to connect to another zone (basement single closed loop).

    be careful here. if you put those tees right next to each other,whats to motivate the water to flow out thru the bb loop and back instead of just going straight thru? i would at least use 2 monoflow tees if i couldnt spread those tees as far apart as the lenght of bb you intend to run. lots of good info in the library, or better yet, check out dans books pumping away and pri-sec. pumping made easy. think like the water. which way would you go? rob
