Remembering Dads (Dan H.)

Growing up in that era brings back memories of how Dad's were. It took years for my Dad to show affection but he never had a problem being tough. He was never mean but once he took a stand he held his ground. Presently he is 81 and what bothers me most is seeing his lack of physical strength, a man my sisters friends as teenagers called Jack after Jack Lalaine the then TV physical fitness guru.

    There's a terrific story

in today's Wall Street Journal. It's about a tough Dad. Reminds me of mine.

    Thank you Dan!

Wow! While the specifics are different, I could have written that artical myself.

I fowarded that to all my brothers and sisters. (six of them)

After losing a son this year, it will be difficult. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Very Happy Fathers Day!

    Great Story

Sends me back. In my mind I can still hear my Mother, and feel the anxiety as she said in times of trouble, "Just wait til your Father gets home." :O I'm lucky he's still with us. WW
