Thanks for your help. Does Honywell offer an updated version of the W7100? I see a nice unit made by Tekmar (model 261) that looks like it would drop right in, but I'm not familar with it. Do you know of anywhere I can look to find the current crop of discharge water controllers of this type. I also need boiler sequencing because I have two boilers.

    WJ7100 Problem

    I have a Honeywell W7100J controller running in my house for about 18 years without problem. Now, the W7100J sometimes fails to start. 24VAC input activates with zones as it should, but the W7100J does nothing. Happens once every week or two, sometimes two times in a short period, then may be ok for weeks. Before I spend the money for a replacement, I would like to know if there are any troubleshooting methods I could apply to verify the outdoor sensor, mains sensor etc. Also, if anyone has experience with a similar symptom, it may be helpful to know the details.

    That's an oldie. You might find the info you need at the website http://customer.honeywell.com. IMPORTANT--scroll down to the very bottom right corner. enter W7100 in the bottom blank box and then click the arrow beside it. Up comes all the lit about that product. In the left column, click on the pdf of the piece you want to see.

    Honeywell doesn't have what you're looking for now. Maybe someday.
