I flushed a LWCO and some water came out and then steam came out, the water level in the gauge glass is 4 to 5 inches above the arrow on the M/M #67 when this happened. There is a check valve on the return, hartford loop has close nipple, and water hammer after startup, pressuretrol set at 1/2 lb.
Does any one have any idear whats causing the steam to come out of the LWCO?
Thanks Mike

Check the lower connection
between the LWCO and the boiler, it may be partially plugged.
