Look this is a big argument for discussion. I've heard every side to the the story. My question is just how high above the boiler are you referring to. I've heard 16 inches above the boiler, but in most cases a see them on the ceiling. A good reference to the code would be appreciated.

I am taking the RI pipefitters test this month in RI.
Would like to know where to find the requirements for a fireomatic in the code and where? Any help is greatly appreicated especially proper location like withing 36" of burner, etc.0 -
I believe the
Firomatic thermal safety is to be directly above the boiler and most likely, a part of the NEC (National Electrical Code)0
