I want to replace head assemblies for three Hoffman 53V F&T traps (patents 2097401 & 2117056). The thermostatic element (air vent) in these traps is vertically positioned at the top of the head assembly perpendicular to the floor with access to it via a large hex nut at the top of the head assembly.
Am I okay to use a replace head assembly - by Hoffman, Barnes & Jones or Tunstall - that is made to fit a Hoffman 53? I don't see any that are labeled 53V.

53-v
bill. contact tim molloy at our shop and he can advise you on monday. in the mean time, if i'm not mistaken, the 53-v has a remote thermostatic element. the typical face plate assemblies have the thermostatic element built into the head assemblies.0
