Galvanized pipe vs. cast iron ?

It is not applicable to your one-pipe system.

A little galvanized pipe should do no harm, the only concern being sacrificial corrosion where zinc meets raw steel pipe. More academic. It should last for years especially if insulated.

    quick question,

i just replaced a short run to a radiator on my one pipe system, with galvanized pipe.
Is this bad? if so, just how bad is it?

it's only about 3-4' of galvanized pipe.
    thanks!
