at the end of each branch. The Vent-Rite #35 is essentially a toy on that system.

vent-rite#35 vs. Gorton#2
I replaced the old vent-rite#35 on each of the mains of my system after reading Dans books and it was worth it since both were clogged. At start-up air does vent as it should from the mains but I'm still getting air venting from the radiators at the same time. I was thinking about adding a tee and branching off two more main vents as I have seen on some pics on this site but was wondering if I should use Gorton#2's instead of the Vent-rite#35's since people seem to use them more. Thanks for the help.0 -
How long are your steam mains
and what pipe size are they?

The first run off the boiler is 15 feet long and the pipe is 2 inch. It then comes to a tee and splits around to each side of the basement until it meets back at the boiler using 1 and a half inch pipe for a total of about 60 feet. Thanks for the help.0
