we've been using heatlink manifolds since their humble beginnings and have experienced leakage on their old (bolt together with redi-rod) manifolds, but only on glycolled systems. never had a single leak so far on their new(ish) twist seal ones. was it the older ones you're thinking of?

as for their pex: pretty much identical to uponor & rehau, top notch stuff, and is UV protected.

    I have the opportunity to buy Heatlink w/ O2 barrier pex at a good price (for radiant in floor). Any troubles with this pipe? Manifold issues?

    I`ve not heard of any problems with Heat-Link, there is alot of it up here in Canada. Just make sure that it was not exposed to sunlight for a long time, ultraviolet light affects the stuff.

    The tubing is fine. The manifolds leak. Go with different manifolds.

    heat link has the SS manifolds as wellas the plastic units . the plastic are fine as long as you watch your PH and they recomend molidmeum as a water treatment , I prefer the SS headers though
