Any input on this boiler?

I'm pondering using one for the barn job I posted about a few days ago. The two stage feature would dovetail nicely with the system that will be in place along with the addition of a small buffer.

If budget is the key to the HO, this is my atmospheric boiler of choice. I love the 2-stage firing, integral combustable floor-shield, and PCB for optional outdoor reset. As with any low-mass boiler, flow through the HX is key, I like y-strainers on the inlet. The terminal pad is easy to wire and has terminal screws for a flow-switch, which I really like.

Solid, dependable little package.

Which boiler? Knight modulating?

Solution

is different than the Knight. The Solution is a copper fin-tube atmospheric non-condensing boiler.

The Knight is a sealed combustion mod/con with a Stainless-Steel HX, outdoor-reset, DHW contacts, BMS contacts, and a bunch of other features.
