Replacing an oversized steamer - Mad Dog

During the first real cold snap. This homeowner had gotten quotes from several local, legit outfits including a very large entity. Replacement boiler sizes ranged anywhere from 50-100% larger than what was needed. This man's fuel usage MUST drop drastically...new main & rad vents too! Turns out the homeowner is related to a close childhood friend that I have not seen in 27 Years...small world Mad Dog

a part of the history of this 100 year old system. Being the Life-Long Conservationist I am..I see no reason to cut out a PERFECTLY good 3" steam header that is already there. I simply reworked it. Furthermore, Cost was an ISSUE here...so, using what "gifts" we already had made sense. As I have said before...."...They ain't all for the magazine!" Mad Dog
