steam pipes
HI,
A little help.
Steam system. Changed radiators to steel fin tube. New vents on all. Insulated pipes all basement.
Changed prestrol to vaporstate.
Problem; Only on heat up of over 5 degrees ie 60-67 the pipes are banging. It seem the condenstate is not making it back fast enough. Set presure at 2oz and 0 diferential. Just seems to cycle too fast . Termostat is set for steam.
Someone told me I have to add backflow protector on retrun for vapor stat.
Any help please.

Steel fin tube
How long are the sections of fin tube. I've always found that if you go farther than 6 feet on standard 1 1/4 steel fin tube section, you will have problems.
