System 2000

in THE MAIN WALL
I am very partial to the system 2000, I have been installing them for two years.. They are extremely quiet for an oil burner.. It also has a digital energy manager
that has alarm contacts that can be interfaced to your security system. I am getting ready to install one in
my addition to takeover the heating and hot water.
If you have paticular question's maybe I can answer them

    System 2000?

    Looking for opinions on the System 2000 for a oil fired hydro air system in a vacation home. Low mass of boiler would mean it could get up to temp quickly if home is shut down for periods of time (of course system would be glycoled). I have not read much about the Energy Kinetics systems here on the wall.

    ... several installers there have raved about the product. Some of the callbacks allegedly were the result of homeowners not being able to hear their oil-fired systems running.

    I'd rethink the glycol option though, unless you're willing to drain the potable water system, the toilets, etc. every time you leave the place for the winter. It could be simpler and less expensive to keep the place at 45°F instead.

    Not being an advocate of antifreeze, there are certainly applications where it is a necessity. If that A/H is in an unheated area you should use it, also if you don't have BLO and/or temp sensors. Keep in mind there is more maintenance required of a system with antifreeze.
