...my new refractometer bought from our friends at Rhomar. Don't have a clue what I'm doing with it!
I took a sample from a customer's boiler, to verify the antifreeze condition. When I use the refractometer, It is showing me a "brix" scale of 32, which is the equivalent refractive index of 1.3847.
Now, how do I use this to determine the % concentration of my antifreeze?
Thanks,
Starch

Thanks, Mark.....
...lots of usefull info on there.
I talked to Rhomar today (it was late last night when I was fooling around with it, and their office was closed), and it turns out they sent the wrong refractometer to me!! A replacement is on its way that will read antifreeze protection level directly.

Our fault and new one is on its way. The readings you will see are direct. It is easy to use.0 -
Thanks, George......
...Your office person was very helpful, and she told me you'ns guys would send a new unit asap.
Always sump-thin', ain't it?

SUGAR SHACK
Yeah, Brix is a check of sucrose content usually used to check post mix pop machines for correct mix.
I have a slightly used glycol refractometer that I no longer need. Make me an offer.
