Need help finding a small elect. steam boiler, this boiler will be used to help shape hats in a samll hat shop, any ideas where to turn to. Need lots of steam very quick, to make the felt soft, so that the hatter can then work the hat into the shape he needs.

Thanks,
Mike

    Steam humidifier

Look into the steam generating humidifiers for applications in forced hot air systems.

They should be great for exactly what you want to do as they come on quick, they're small have automatic (or simple to operate) blow down piping which is the feature you would really really need. Some units also brag about how dry their steam is, which is something else good for you. They produce no pressure - but I am guessing your particular use doesn't need any.

I favor the electrode type heater rather than the resistance coil, it doesn't scale up as quick.

Notice all the new steam (so called) appliances that are making a big return / apparition on the home market. Steam works wonders on clothes, it's true, it's not just a gimmick "as seen on TV". There are many such small appliances available easily, perhaps it's what you're looking for (~2000 W)

Just like on your hats. And if you ask me, I think steam works wonders everywhere else. :)

They have a fair line of electric boilers for HW and steam processes.
