What is the conversion factor from BTU/hr to kilowat hours.
i.e. a 100,000 BTU/hr boiler is producing as much heat as an electric furnace element of how many kilowat hours?

And the answer is...
One kilowatt is equivalent to 3,412 BTUs/hr. Therefore, an 80% efficient, a 100,000 BTU boiler would emit 80,000 BTUs to the load. Dividing by 3,412, this would be equivalent to a 23.45 KW electric source.0 -
