Convector - how many BTUs ?

Convector - How many BTUs ?

Hi,

I've downloaded Slantfin's heatloss calculator and I'm trying to estimate the house load. To do a comparison I've also measured up the total ft of baseboard and the two convectors I have in the house. Seems like the rule of thumb is ~550BTU/ft for baseboards, but what about convectors ?

I have one that is 6" x 2.5' and one that is 6" x 5'.

Appreciate any pointers on this.

Do you have a height on the units and a tube count?

I opened them up and they have the same internal hight 2" and they each have 3 tubes.
