Fellas,
Haunted thermostat?
The boiler turned on. I checked the thermostat and it called for heat. The boiler shut off a few minutes later. The radiator in the room where the thermostat is, didn't get hot.

You may have air in the radiator or the pump isn't running. The boiler may have reached its high limit and shout off. If there is air the radiator the water is then trapped so you can't get hot water to it. Try to bleed it first.0 -
Steam or hot-water?
Knowing the system type will identify if there are bleeders or not.
