Hello all--Just a quick question--I have a Rheem Hot air unit in my house with a Becket burner assy-My question is-The Ignition Transformer wiring---What is the difference between constant ignition and non constant ignition? I understand whats going on here but why would a constant ignition setup be less efficient--Or is that wrong info?
I didnt think a constant ign had any effects on how the fire burns.. 75 80B Thanks Have a good one..

Ignition
Intermittant (constant)
Interrupted (drops out after ignition)
Constant masks some problems.
Constant puts more run time on the transformer.
Constant uses more electricity.
Hope this explains it,

T-former
Constant(intermittant) eats electrodes wastes electricity
